The goal of MAFCO 2026 is to empower ministers to rely on God's guidance to multiply our spiritual and practical resources, so we can effectively serve and fulfil our callings globally.
God's ministers are called to be beacons of light, guiding the global flock of Jesus Christ and our home congregations towards a life of distinction and excelence. But the saying is truth, a man cannot give what he does not have. So, the cry for Increased Capacity is a legitimate prayer of every leader.
Each of us, at some point, reaches a critical juncture where our current resources, strength, or ability is simply not enough to meet the demands of ministry and followers. The pressure mounts. The creditors of life—responsibilities, deadlines, expectations, generational (gaps) cohorts, knowledge gaps, even opposition—are at the door. All of these can make us indeed feel stretched, limited, and aware that what we have in our hands cannot possibly cover what we owe to the ministry and community around us.
This is precisely where we find a desperate widow in 2 Kings chapter 4. Her story is a divine blueprint for moving from lack to abundance, from limitation to increase. She had nothing in the house “save a pot of oil.” Just one jar. It represented her last resource, her final hope, but in its natural state, it was insufficient. Her capacity was full, yet her need was greater.
But her pivotal decision to cry out for help—and to heed the prophetic word she received—unlocked a supernatural principle of increase. The prophet Elisha did not give her new oil; he gave her a strategy to multiply what she already had. His instructions were a test of her faith and obedience: “Go, borrow vessels from all your neighbors, *empty vessels*—and *do not gather just a few*.”
The miracle was not in the single pot of oil; it was in her willingness to **prepare capacity** for the grace that was about to flow. The oil, representing the grace and anointing of God, stopped flowing only when there was no more room to receive it. Her harvest was limited not by God’s supply, but by her preparation.
Today, we will explore this profound truth: **God is ready to release a grace for increase, but we must first acquire the capacity to contain it.** We will learn that the "empty vessels" are not just physical resources, but the spaces we create in our faith, our minds, our character, and our obedience. The question before us is not, “Is God able?” but rather, “Have I prepared enough room to receive what He is willing to pour out?”
Let’s open our hearts and our spiritual containers. Get ready to identify your “empty vessels” and to step beyond “just a few.” For when we partner with God’s instruction, the little in our hands becomes the doorway to more than enough.
MAFCO Convocation offers us a space to tend to our own souls and replenish our spirits. As we delve into God's Word, seeking wisdom and inspiration to nurture the King's business, may we discover practical strategies to balance our demanding roles and recieve great grace in Jesus name.
This is a time to connect with fellow ministers, share experiences, learn from one another, an strengthen our bonds of support through prayer and fellowship. We shall emerge from this retreat renewed, empowered, and equipped to lead our families and congregations towards a life of abundant grace, unwavering faith and outstanding testimonies.
